JUDICIAL IMPUNITY/ABUSE OF POWER/OBTAINING REDRESS/COMPELLING REFORM
My book documents judges’ abuse of power and blowing the whistle on the connivance between power and politics, during 1995-2009 in family law court. Michigan’s “One Court of Justice” fails to provide effective avenues of redress and relief for the role of judges’ imposed through persistent legal system abuse. The costs of lawlessness, failure of justice and impunity for crimes, unaddressed grievances and oppressive, unaccountable rule, with inexplicable disregard by Michigan judges’ of well established court rules, procedures, law and/or practices are documented in this book. We need governance systems in which all duty bearers, institutions and entities, public or private are accountable to laws that are publicly promulgated, equally enforced, and consistent with human rights norm and standards.
Victims of legal system abuse should receive appropriate relief including reparations without regard to otherwise applicable statutes of limitations or similar tolling/limiting provisions, due to judicial misconduct.
